First published in 1955, Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr. Ripley is not just a masterful crime novel — it’s one of the best books of any kind, ever.
The Little Sister — my favorite Raymond Chandler novel — first published in 1949, it remains a great insider’s view of Hollywood absurdities.
